Our Favourite WordPress Plugins

WordPress is an amazing platform. There’s a huge library of third party themes and plugins. The platform has developed a community around it of users and developers making it what is probably the most versatile content management system (CMS) on the planet.

With the huge amount of third-party themes and plugins it can be quite difficult to navigate the options. So we’ve put together a list of our favourite (free and paid) plugins for WordPress.

Contact Form 7 + Flamingo

One of the brilliant things about Contact Form 7 is that it’s so simple and easy to use. Most users wouldn’t need to do anything besides installing the plugin and dropping the shortcode somewhere on your website and a form appears.  However there are more flexible options, such as having a copy of the form content CC’d to the sender, as well as myriad of plugins and extensions.

What about Flamingo? Flamingo is a plugin by the same developer that saves all filled forms in the WordPress admin panel. Making them easy to sort through beyond just having them sent to your inbox as you would by default.

  • Easy to use

  • Will fit in with any theme

  • Super Customisable

  • 3rd Party Extensions

  • ReCaptcha and Security Built In.

Yoast SEO is a fantastic WordPress plugin that does more than SEO. It’s main feature is real time content analysis. Essentially when writing content in WordPress you set a focus keyword, and the plugin will analyse your content for how well the content matches your focus keyword and also scans for readability.

Yoast will also insert meta-tags and open graph (Facebook metadata) tags into your website. Allowing Search Engines and Social networks to easily ‘read’ your website and understand your brand and its connections to social media profiles.
